The House of Dastan
The House of Dastan is more than just a fragrance brand; it’s a celebration of two ancient cultures—Persian and Parisian—each renowned for their mastery of scents and innovation in the world of perfumery. The name Dastan—meaning “story” in Persian—encapsulates our vision: to create fragrances that tell unique tales of love, passion, and timeless elegance. Every fragrance in our collection is inspired by the enchanting love stories of our past, wafting through the air like delicate whispers of devotion and triumph.
The House of Dastan’s essence lies in its storytelling, a world where each fragrance unfolds like chapters in an epic romance. Our scents capture the duality of harmony and contrast, much like the art of perfumery itself, where carefully selected notes blend, collide, and dance together, forming an unforgettable aroma. Each scent symbolizes an embrace, a rivalry, a love story told through intricate layers that unfold over time.

House of Dastan was founded by brother and sister duo, Hamed and Sonia Arefian, fragrance industry veterans with Persian heritage and over two decades of experience in New York City’s high-end fragrance retail industry, MAXAROMA.
Their shared passion for fine fragrances and deep cultural roots inspired the creation of a fragrance house that seamlessly combines Parisian refinement, Persian artistry, and New York style.

Perfume Making
The Persians Pioneered Perfume-Making
The Persians pioneered perfume-making, shaping its modern form. Visionaries like Avicenna mastered distillation in the 10th century, extracting essences from flowers and woods—a breakthrough confirmed by historical records. This elevated perfumery from simple infusions to a refined craft. Their techniques spread across civilizations, influencing today’s intricate blends. From rosewater to oud, Persia’s enduring legacy connects ancient artistry to contemporary elegance.

Strength and Symmetry
The House of Dastan logo is a tribute to the timeless elegance of Persian art, where symmetry and geometry reign supreme. Crafted with pure, bold lines, our logo draws inspiration from the iconic Persian architectural shapes, with the square as its focal point. This reflects both the stability and beauty found in Persian design, where lines and forms create a balanced harmony. The deep emerald and ruby hues represent the rich colors of Persian palace windows, imbuing the logo with an aura of heritage and opulence.
The Bottle Design
Inspired by Majestic Persian Architecture

Each bottle is a tribute to Persian artistry, holding not only a fragrance but a piece of cultural heritage.
